Office Administrator
We are seeking an adaptable and organised Office Administrator to coordinate office activities and provide essential administrative support services from our Head Office in Alton, Hampshire.
Salary: negotiable
Hours: Part time (20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 08:30-12:30)

We are looking for an adaptable, organised and pro-active Office Administrator to join our small and friendly team at our Head Office in Alton, Hampshire. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating office activities and will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance to company policies and the smooth running of business operations. This role provides essential administrative support services to the Thorn SDS team.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the inventory of office supplies and placing orders when necessary.
- Managing inbound and outbound company correspondence, including phone calls, letters, cards, and packages.
- Managing the admin@ email inbox.
- Maintaining records and databases in compliance with the quality management system.
- Booking training courses for staff.
- Making flight and hotel bookings for the team.
- Carrying out team uniform and equipment replenishment.
- Organising company car servicing and maintenance.
- Supporting Thorn SDS to retain its key accreditations.
- Act as the main point of contact for our IT support partner.
- Plan and keep minutes at monthly, quarterly and annual team meetings.
- Support the new starter induction and basic training process.
- Review and improve internal processes and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for commercial gains through efficiencies.
- Planning and arranging team social events.
- Ensuring the office is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Other tasks appropriate to this role as requested by the management team.
