Systems Operations Engineer
Darmstadt, Germany- Thorn SDS are looking for an Engineer to join the team working on Earth Observation Missions.

Located in Darmstadt, Germany
We are looking for an Engineer with at least 3 years’ experience working in an operational environment on Earth Observation Missions.
You need experience in the following: –
- System and Ground Segment Operations including implementation and V&V of new operational systems
- Communications & Networks Operations
- System Monitoring and Reporting
- Operations Security
- Operations Infrastructure
This is a great opportunity to contribute to the definition, development and operational validation for future satellite systems and operational rehearsals.
Qualifications and experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in system operations of Earth Observation missions, preferably in an operational environment
- At least 3 years’ experience in the system operations engineering of complex EO ground segments, with a track record of verification and validation
- Experience with UNIX / Linux systems
- A relevant university degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or discipline relevant to the job System and Ground Segment Operations Preparation for GEO EO programmes
You must be available to work immediately and free to live and work in Europe without any restrictions.
