Thorn SDS are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer to join our team, based in Darmstadt, Germany, with an immediate start date.
This is an exciting time with scheduled new launch dates and the opportunity to be involved in a very dynamic, operational programme.
As the Spacecraft Operations Engineer, you will have experience of Spacecraft Operations within large / complex missions and have had responsibility for one or more platform subsystems or instruments during operational validation, commissioning, or routine operations phases.
The languages of the workplace are English and French. The working language on this Mission is English and you must be able to communicate effectively in a fast paced, highly technical environment.
To Join Us You Will Need:
- To be available for an immediate start (essential).
- Experience of SCOS2000 mission control system and use of the MOIS operations preparation tools.
- Experience in satellite performance monitoring and reporting aspects including anomaly analysis and solving in liaison with satellite industry, procedure change control and configuration management processes.
- Experience in the operation or development of satellite ground segment facilities, in particular procedure development, monitor and control, mission planning, on-board software management, performance analysis, configuration management and simulator facilities.
